FLAGFALL

BUILD THE BATTLEFIELD

A map editor for your next great escape.

Make the island you want to fight over. FlagFall’s map editor lets you turn open water into a capture-the-flag battleground, then jump straight into a playtest.

In development. Editing is implemented on iPhone, iPad and Mac. On Apple TV, connect a compatible game controller to access the editor.

Start with an island. Make it yours.

Begin with a blank ocean or generate an island and reshape it. The generator has five starting styles: mainland, twin islands, river, lagoon and archipelago. These create different approaches to the enemy base, from bridge crossings to routes around a lagoon.

Choose one or two players. Paint terrain, add roads, place defences and set launch pads. The line tool lets you drag roads, walls and bridges, preview the route, then release to lay them. Adjust the brush, change a structure’s side or facing, and undo a stroke when a route needs another pass.

Build with the controls you prefer.

Map editor controls by platform
PlatformHow you build
iPhone and iPadPaint with a finger, pan with two fingers and pinch to zoom.
Compatible iPad + Apple PencilPaint with Pencil and pan with a finger after Pencil is detected. Supported hover previews the brush; double-tap toggles the eraser according to the Pencil setting.
MacClick and drag to paint, right-click to erase, use WASD or arrow keys to pan and bracket keys to zoom.
Game controller / Apple TVMove the editor cursor, paint, erase, undo, switch tools and zoom from the controller. Apple TV requires a controller for editing.

Test the route before calling it finished.

The editor checks whether the map is playable before enabling Play. Test your defences, check the approach to the flag buildings and see whether the jeep can make a convincing escape. Refine the map and save it to your personal collection.

Keep, rename and share your maps.

Skirmish’s My Maps tab collects saved creations. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, open a map’s context menu to play, edit, rename, share or delete it. Import shared map files into your own collection, then launch a local game.

Maps use iCloud Drive on iPhone, iPad and Mac when available, with local storage as a fallback. Apple TV keeps its maps locally and does not expose the same file import and sharing controls. There is no public map workshop or advertised custom-map online matchmaking.

Map editing is part of FlagFall’s planned free experience. The only planned purchase removes advertising; it does not unlock tools, maps or other features.
